Welcome to the Buckworth Gardening Club, the leafy little corner of the Cricket Club where trowels, tea, and tall tales come together.
Monthly – Every 2nd Thursday – 8pm ‘til the weeds are quiet and the gossip’s gone to seed!
Whether you’re a seasoned grower or simply curious about compost, this is the place to dig in—literally. We meet regularly to share tips, swap seeds and hatch plans for everything from plant sales to pumpkin-growing showdowns.
What We’re About:
- Welcoming all ages and experience levels—no green thumb required!
- Sharing knowledge, tools, and the occasional biscuit
- Informal plant swaps
- Bar’s Open, Secateurs Down – because sometimes the best way to plan a flower bed… is with a G&T in hand. Cheers to plant chat, patio pints, and perfectly pruned conversation.
Get Involved: Pop along to a meet-up (check the What’s On or Calendar page), bring a pair of gloves (or just yourself), and join a blooming lovely bunch of growers, weeders, and wildflower whisperers.
Have a gardening question, idea for a new patch, or photos of your prize dahlias? Send them to admin@buckworthcricketclub.co.uk and we’ll post them on The Socials page or chat to us at the bar—we’re always up for a chinwag.
