In light of the most recent government announcement it is our responsibility, as a community club, to respond and react in the right way to the guidance given.
Therefore, in order to be socially responsible and in line with the precautions needed to try and delay the spread of the Coronavirus in the community, we have made the difficult decision to close the Cricket Club for all social events with immediate effect. This includes the club’s AGM which was due to be held tomorrow.
You may have seen on our Facebook page that the village of Buckworth are, with the support of the Parish Council, setting up a community support group. The Cricket Club will be used as a hub to facilitate this in the local area, but no other events will be held in the club as of Wednesday 18th March.
We apologise for any inconvenience but we are confident that you will understand that this is a necessary precaution at this difficult time.
Stay well and we will keep in touch by email and on social media (please follow us on Facebook and Instagram)
Thanks for all your support kind regards, the committee x
